The 13th annual Rotary Club of Woy Woy 'Opera in the Arboretum' fundraising event was held on Saturday 24 March 2018 at Pearl Beach.

We had a full house on a glorious  26 degree day with end of summer sunshine and a slight warm breeze. The Arboretum was lush after recent rain and, thankfully, not a drop fell until after the event.
Our stars performed magnificently as did the orchestra and supporting artists. Artists included soprano Greta Bradman, mezzo soprano Deborah Humble, tenor Virgilio Marino and baritone Alex Sefton with special guest artist violinist Evgeny Sorkin. Pianist Francis Greep and the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Patrick Brennan, supported the artists. The audience were hugely enthusiastic and rose to their feet at the end to express their appreciation of a magnificent afternoon of Opera.
The main beneficiaries of this year's event are 'Rotarians Against Malaria' (vaccine project), 'Australian Rotary Health' (mental health) and 'Zimbabwe Pensioner Support Fund'. Thank you to all our sponsors - we couldn't run the event without their support.
