Little happened in this area over the year.

There was greater activity, however, in promotion of 'Opera in the Arboretum'. Several new approaches were adopted. The use of banners was extended, members manned stands in shopping malls from Hornsby to Tuggerah and in between, press releases were extended to local publications over the entire North Shore.

It is very difficult to determine the success of these initiatives but the number of patrons attending the opera increased this year so consideration could be given to employing them again in the future.

Members made themselves recognisable as Rotarian's by wearing Rotary ''uniform" to outside activities and the Club's extended array of portable banners enhanced this recognition by the public.
